E-cigarettes: Comparing national regulatory approaches

About the project

This review aimed to examine the existing and upcoming national regulations surrounding cigarettes and e-cigarette availability and use in a sample of high and middle-income countries.

The objectives were to:

1. Establish the regulatory assessment of cigarettes and e-cigarettes in a sample of high and middle-income countries.

2. Compare and contrast the rates and regulations of cigarettes versus e-cigarettes.

3. Compare and contrast the rates and regulations of high-income countries and middle-income countries.

4. Determine if cigarette and e-cigarette smoking rates are relative to the regulations imposed in the countries under investigation.
